Mazda’s diesel ‘beats hybrid’
Mazda intends to create a diesel engine that’s cheaper and much more efficient than anything provided by a hybrid vehicle by 2011.
Japan firm really wants to improve fuel efficiency by evolving car engine technology, instead of counting on heavy and costly electric systems.
Seita Kanai, Mazda’s development and research chief, stated, “We feel that improving today’s conventional engines at an inexpensive is the best way to obtain fuel-efficient cars to proliferate.”
He added that Mazda ran a couple.-litre diesel engine which was as fuel-efficient like a 660cc gas motor or perhaps a mild hybrid vehicle.
