GM leans towards RHJ deal
Vehicle is edging nearer to an offer with RHJ Worldwide after it claimed the Magna deal might have a lot of obstacles to beat.
GM’s chief negotiator John Cruz authored on GM Europe’s site that the bid from Magna “contained elements around ip and our Russian operations that merely couldn’t be implemented”.
Magna’s putting in a bid partner is Sberbank, the Russian condition-owned bank, and it is bid is considered to contain intends to sell and manufacture more cars in Russia.
“GM has partners in other areas around the globe who’ve joint possession of those assets… We just couldn’t execute the offer as posted,” added Cruz.
Cruz stated RHJ’s bid would supply “a much easier structure and could be simpler to implement”. In addition, the RHJ bid will need less condition aid than Magna’s offer also it wouldn’t infringe on any one of GM’s global deals.
“This remains an acceptable and viable choice that need considering because the very hard issues round the Magna negotiations continue being labored,” stated Cruz.

Despite seeming to favour RHJ’s bid, Cruz was adamant that GM didn’t presently prefer either from the bidders and that he stated it had been dealing with Magna to generate an offer which may be simpler for this to apply.
