Audi A1 range expands
Audi has expanded the Audi A1 range with the help of two new specifications – the Audi A1 Black Edition and Audi A1 Contrast Edition.
Both cars can be found with Audi’s new-to-A1 2.-litre TDI engine, which sits plus the existing 1.6-litre oil-burner. The system produces 142bhp and achieves 69mpg and 108g/km CO2, which slots the vehicle in tax band B. The sprint to 62mph is dispatched in 8.2sec and top speed is arrived at at 135mph.

The Contrast Edition can be obtained with basically the new 1.4-litre 182bhp engines and charges ￡1350 greater than the ￡17,945 Sport model. Features incorporate a colour-contrasting roof line and 17-inch alloys. A contrasting double-blade roof spoiler can also be offered at expense.
The greater effective Audi A1 Black Edition will come in addition to Audi’s 182bhp unit along with the recently introduced 142bhp oil-burner and charges ￡1100 greater than the S-line model.
The new A1 adds a black finish towards the grille surround and registration plate holder and will get tinted home windows, and titanium-finished 18-inch alloys. Inside, Black Edition cars also boast electronic heating and cooling and speaker upgrades.
This past year, Audi offered just below 100k models within the United kingdom, a 9.5 percent increase on 2009.
